After Run Coolant Pump

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Hose clamps up to 25 mm diameter (3094)

• Hose clip pliers (VAS 6362)

Removing

CAUTION!
Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant:

• When the engine is warm the cooling system is under pressure.

• Reduce pressure by covering the coolant expansion tank cap with a cloth and carefully opening.

- Open the coolant expansion tank cap.

- Remove the noise insulation..

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 1 - for the after run coolant pump.





- Place the (VAS 6208) under the engine.

- Disconnect the coolant hoses - arrows - after clamping with the (3094).

- Remove the coolant hoses from the after run coolant pump.

- Remove the bolt - 2 - and the after run coolant pump.

Installing

• Tightening specifications, refer to --> [ After Run Coolant Pump Assembly Overview ] After Run Coolant Pump Assembly Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:

- Check the coolant level. Refer to --> [ Draining and Filling ] [1][2]Cooling System, Draining and Filling.
