Panorama Sunroof Front Glass Panel Tilt Mechanism and Cable

Removing
- Remove the front glass sunroof panel.
- Remove the rear glass sunroof panel.
- Remove the assembly frame from the vehicle.
- Remove sunroof motor.
- Remove the rear lid from the assembly frame.

Push the tilt mechanism to the rear after removing the rear lid.

Proceed as follows:
- Press the glass sunroof panel tilting mechanism only on those guiding slot locations - arrow - - 2 -, and not on the rails - 3 -.

The tilt mechanism opens when pushed.










- Slide the tilt mechanism - 2 - on the guide slots - arrow - to the rear using a suitable screwdriver and off the guide rails - 1 -.







- Unclip the cable - 2 - from the guide slots - 1 - in - the direction of arrow A -.
- Remove the tilt mechanism - 1 - in - direction of arrow B - out of the guide rails - 3 -.
- Remove the cable - 2 - in - direction of arrow B - out of the guide rails - 3 -.

Installing

NOTE:
- Clean the guide rails only if they are very dirty.
- Use cleaner D 009 401 04
- Lubricate the guide rails in the sliding areas using lithium grease G 052 147 A2.
- Do not lubricate the cables.







- Slide the tilt mechanism - 3 - into guide rail - 1 -.
- Make sure that the slider - 2 - points toward the rear when sliding the it into the guide rails - 1 -.







- Slide the cable - 2 - in - direction of arrow B - into the guide rails - 3 -.
- Insert the cable - 2 - in - the direction of arrow A - into the guide slots - 1 -.

NOTE: The tilt mechanism may not be pulled or pushed on the guide rail.

- Push the tilting mechanism on both sides all the way forward until it has completely lowered.







- Press the tilting mechanism only on those guiding slot locations - arrow - - 2 -, and not on the rails - 3 -.







- Install the rear lid on the assembly frame.
- Install the sunroof motor.
- Install the assembly frame on to the vehicle.
- Install the rear glass sunroof panel.
- Install the front glass sunroof panel.
- After completing all the work, perform a panorama sun roof adaptation.
