1 Strut

2 Tie rod end

3 Bolt

• Bolt point must face in direction of travel.

4 Bolt, 8 Nm

5 Left front wheel speed sensor (G47)/right front wheel speed sensor (G45)

• Before inserting the speed sensor, clean the inner surface of the bore hole and coat with securing grease (G 000 650).

6 Cover plate

7 Nut, 20 Nm + 90° additional turn

• M12 x 1.5.

• Self locking.

• Always replace after removal.

8 Bolt, 10 Nm

9 Vented brake disc

10 Bolt

• M16 x 1.5 x 80.

• Hex bolt = 200 Nm + 180° additional turn.

• 12 point bolt = 70 Nm + 90° additional turn.

• Always replace after removal.

Vehicle must not rest on its wheels when loosening and tightening.

11 Bolt

• Tightening specifications, refer to --> Brakes and Traction Control.

12 Wheel hub with wheel bearing

• Sensor ring for the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) is installed in the wheel hub.

• Various versions.

13 Wheel bearing housing

• Removing and installing, refer to --> [ Wheel Bearing Housing ] Wheel Bearing Housing.

• With bolted brake carrier.

• If the wheel bearing housing is replaced, vehicle alignment must be performed afterwards. Refer to --> [ Wheel Alignment ] Wheel Alignment.

14 Wheel bearing housing

• Removing and installing, refer to --> [ Wheel Bearing Housing ] Wheel Bearing Housing.

• With bolted brake carrier.

• If the wheel bearing housing is replaced, vehicle alignment must be performed afterwards. Refer to --> [ Wheel Alignment ] Wheel Alignment.

15 Bolt, 70 Nm + 90° additional turn

• M12 x 1.5 x 45.

• Always replace after removal.

16 Drive axle

• Removing and installing, Refer to one of the following:

• --> [ Drive Axle, with CV Joints VL90, VL100 and VL107 Bolted to Intermediate
Shaft ] Drive Axle, with CV Joints VL90, VL100 and VL107 Bolted to Intermediate Shaft

• --> [ Drive Axle, with CV Joint VL107 Installed on Stub Shaft ] Drive Axle, with CV Joint VL107 Installed on Stub Shaft

• --> [ Drive Axle, with Triple Roller Joint AAR2600i ] Drive Axle, with Triple Roller Joint AAR2600i

• --> [ Drive Axle, with Triple Roller Joint AAR3300i ] Drive Axle, with Triple Roller Joint AAR3300i

17 Nut, 70 Nm + 90° additional turn

• M12 x 1.5.

• Self-locking.

• Always replace after removal.
