Transmission, Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal. Note the following

- Inspect pilot bearing in crankshaft. If it is damaged or has blue tarnish, it must be replaced.

- If it is not damaged, lubricate lightly with high-temperature grease (G052133A2).

- Transmission pins (not splines) must also be lightly lubricated.

- Make sure alignment sleeves are seated correctly between engine and transmission.

- Check correct seating of intermediate plate.

- Check correct seating of intermediate plate.

Engine and transmission must be brought together by hand until both flanges touch all around!

If this is not the case, it will not run correctly!

- Adjust transmission mount until engine and transmission are aligned.

- Guide selector lever cable into mounting bracket as soon as possible.

Do not grease cable.

- Selector lever cable lock washers must be reconditioned.

- Always adjust selector lever cable --> [ Selector Lever Cable, Adjusting ] Adjustments.

Tightening Specifications





M12 - 80 Nm

If you use Insert Tool 18 mm (T10179): 65 Nm.

M10 - 40 Nm

- Replace all of bolts of left assembly mounting.

- First install all new bolts by hand.

- - A - first tighten console to transmission - 1 - to 40 Nm with an additional 90° turn.





- When tightening bolts - 2 -, plate can be pried into correct seating with screwdriver. Bolts- 2 - torque specification: 60 Nm plus an additional 90° turn.

Starter to transmission

Subframe bolts must be replaced.
