Multi-disc clutch as replacement part
1 Clutch
• Cover on a new clutch is secured with securing ring. It sits slightly taut in clutch. This prevents clutch parts from falling out when transporting from manufacturer to you. It can be removed with some caution.
2 Ten securing rings
• Rings are of varying thicknesses. They are staggered in 0.1 mm increments.

3 Cover (end cover)
• Make sure that inner sealing lip is not damaged --> [ Clutch End Cover, Installing ] Clutch End Cover, Installing
4 Securing ring
• For cover
• There are two versions of the ring: flat and on clutches manufactured after June 2005 ridged
- When removing clutch, press on clutch cover.
Clutch cap and plate carrier lying beneath should be prevented from slipping out of inner plate.
- Make sure four - piston rings - are seated properly.
Ends of rings should not stand over one another.
- Gently turn rings once. They must move freely and must not stick.
Important! Clutch cover location.
- Before removing clutch cover, check if there is a marking applied on the clutch - arrow -.
- If there is no marking, then apply a color marking. Cover tab should realign with this marked position later.
- Carefully remove cover from clutch - arrow - and lay aside.
CAUTION!
Avoid removing or lifting up the clutch pack carrier. Not even slightly! The clutch discs could rotate themselves.
Set down clutch so that it cannot fall over.
