Exterior Mirror Entry Lamp

Driver Entry Lamp (in outside mirror) (W52)/Front Passenger Entry Lamp (in outside mirror) (W53) are integrated in the mirror housing.

The exterior rearview mirror must not be removed to remove and install the Driver's Entry Lamp (in outside mirror) (W52)/Front Passenger's Entry Lamp (in outside mirror) (W53).

The Driver's Entry Lamp (in outside mirror) (W52) and Front Passenger's Entry Lamp (in outside mirror) (W53) are removed and installed the same way, so the description is only given for one side.

CAUTION!
• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove ignition key.

Removing

- Fold the exterior rearview mirror - 1 - forward in the - direction of the arrow -.





- Remove bolt - 1 -.





- Unclip the Driver's Entry Lamp (in outside mirror) (W52) in the - direction of the arrow - from the exterior rearview mirror and pull it out as far as the wires allow.





- Pull the socket - 2 - in the - direction of the arrow - out of the housing - 1 - for the Driver's Entry Lamp (in outside mirror) (W52).





Bulb, Replacing

- Pull plug-in socket lamp - 1 - in - direction of arrow - out of socket - 2 -.





Plug-in socket lamp: 12V W 6 W

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• After installation, perform a function test of the exterior mirror.
