Replacing Airbag Units After an Accident

Always replace the following components after an accident when airbag has deployed:

• All deployed airbag units

• Support for passenger module where passenger airbag deployed.

• Return ring with slip ring, if driver side airbag deployed.

• All seat belts with triggered belt tensioners

• If necessary (visual check) also replace all damaged components

Accident without Airbag Deployment

• If the airbag malfunction indicator lamp does not indicate a DTC, airbag components do not need to be replaced. Seat belts must be inspected separately.
