Trailer Connector: Service and Repair
Trailer Socket
CAUTION!
• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.
• Remove ignition key.
Removing
- Remove the bolts - arrows -.
- Remove the Trailer Socket (U10) from the retaining plate.
- Press the connectors - 2 - in the - direction of the arrow - out of the Trailer Socket (U10) - 1 -.
- Release securing tabs - arrows - and release clips - 1 - and - 3 - through - 5 -.
- Remove retainer from harness connectors - 2 -.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
• Make sure O-rings - 1 - and - 3 - are not damaged.
- Push electrical connectors - 4 - until they audibly engage inside retaining cage - 2 -.
Trailer socket connector assignment
1. Terminal BL (left turn signal)
2. Terminal NSL (rear fog lamp)
3. Terminal 31
4. Terminal BR (right turn signal)
5. Terminal 58R (right taillamp)
6. Terminal 54 (brake light)
7. Terminal 58 L (left tail lamp)
8. Terminal RF (back-up light)
9. Terminal 15
10. Reserved for terminal 30
11. Reserved for terminal 31
12. not used
13. Terminal 31
