Rear Bass Speaker

• Removal and installation of left or right side speakers is identical.

Removal

Do the following before starting the procedure:

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Remove the rear seat bench.

- Remove the screws - arrows - on the lower trim panel.






- Remove cover - 1 - by unclipping the cover at points designated by - arrows -.






- Remove the screw - arrow - on the upper trim panel.






- Pull off trim upward and disconnect harness connector from treble speaker.

It is not necessary to remove the seat belt in order to remove the speaker, unroll seat belt completely and set down the trim on the convertible top frame.

- Detach foam lining on speaker in - direction of arrow - and pull it out.






- Disconnect harness connector at speaker.

- Remove rubber spacer ring - 1 - from speaker. Remove mounting bolts at speaker - arrows -.






Installation

Install in reverse order of removal.

Make sure rubber spacer ring is fitted correctly on speaker.
