Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments






Multifunction Transmission Range Switch, Adjusting

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Setting Gauge (T10173)

- Move the selector lever into the "N" position.

- Do not bend the selector lever cable.

Adjustment Prerequisites

The selector lever cable is disconnected from the selector shaft lever

The selector shaft is in the "N" position.

The bolts for the multifunction transmission range switch have been loosened.

The selector shaft lever is removed.

- Install the setting gauge (T10173) onto the selector shaft - 2 - and turn the multifunction switch - 1 - just until the setting gauge locks onto the tab on the multifunction switch connector.






- Use the bolt - 3 - to secure the setting gauge to the selector shaft - 2 -.

- Tighten the multifunction switch bolts - arrows - to 6 Nm.

- Remove the setting gauge.

- Further installation is performed in the reverse order.
