Transmission, Installing

- Always remove any transmission fluid which has dripped out.

- Make sure the alignment sleeves are pressed into the engine flange.

- See how the plate fits between the engine and transmission. The plate must contact the engine along entire perimeter when pressing lightly against engine using both hands. If it is above the engine, then it is not hooked into the cylinder block correctly.

Further installation is performed in the reverse sequence.

The engine and the transmission must be installed to the subframe free of tension.

- Replace the transmission mount/bracket bolts.

- First, install all new bolts by hand.

When installing, first, install the bracket to the transmission.

Adjust the old fit between both bolts using a screwdriver when tightening the bracket bolts to the vehicle.

- Replace the seals for the transmission fluid pipes.

- Tighten the transmission fluid pipes to the transmission. Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Engine to Transmission Tightening Specifications ] Engine to Transmission Tightening Specifications.

- Adjust the selector lever cable. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable, Adjusting ] Adjustments.

- Check the transmission fluid level. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling ] Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling.

- Perform a basic setting. To do this:

- Connect the vehicle diagnostic tester and then select "perform basic setting" using the guided function.
