Shift Handle with Cover

For all shift handles there is the possibility to push the button into the handle. Do not install the handle with the button pushed in under any circumstance.

- Before removing, pull the button out past the pressure point.





- Secure the button against being pushed in, using a cable tie or wire.

- Unclip the cover.

- Disengage the handle.





- After installing, engage the handle again, push the plastic part beneath the handle downward again.

- Transport protection can be removed on new handles after disengaging.





- Disconnect the connector from the cover.

- Pull off the handle upward.

The button for the GTI handle must not be pressed in.





- If this should happen anyway, unclip the handle trim upward.





- Press the small lever for the cable rod - arrow - again into the groove before the handle is installed.

- After installing, engage the handle again, push the plastic part beneath the handle downward again.
