Temperature Regulator Door Motor






Climatic Door Motors and Temperature Sensors

Temperature Regulator Door Motor

Removing

- Remove left footwell vent => [ Left Footwell Vent ] Vents

- Remove the left footwell trim.

- Remove Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface ( J533)





- Remove the bolts - 3 - (9 ± 1.3 Nm).

The bolts - 1 - are not to be removed.

- Do not remove the bracket - 2 -.

- Push the bracket - 1 - toward the brake pedal - arrow - and secure it there using a cable tie.





- Mark connector - C - to control motor (danger of interchange with other connectors of same construction).





- Disconnect connector - C - on Temperature Regulator Door Motor (V68).

- Remove cover - A -.

- Remove the securing screws - D - (1.4 Nm) and remove the Temperature Regulator Door Motor (V68) - B -.

- Disengage control motor lever - E - from connecting rod - F -.

Installing

Optimized motors are marked with an "X".

For improved installation, use a raised head screw (N 103 254 01) which has been shortened ≈ 2 mm.

- Remove the mount - 1 - from the old temperature regulator door motor (V68) using, for example, a diagonal cutter.





- Mount the new Temperature Regulator Door Motor ( V68) marked with an "X" using the shortened raised head screw - 2 - to the detached mount - 1 - to the bracket - 3 - on the blower case.





After installing, function of left temperature door must be checked.

Initiate "Basic Setting" function with Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) (or succeeding model) => [ Climatronic A/C System with Automatic Control, Checking and Adjusting ] Climatronic A/C System with Automatic Control, Checking and Adjusting.
