Brake System Vacuum Pump

Component location: Located on the front of the automatic transmission in direction of travel.

It is not possible to service the brake system vacuum pump. If there is a malfunction, replace the brake system vacuum pump.

Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using the (VAS 5051)

Removing

- Disconnect the vacuum hose - 1 - from the brake system vacuum pump.





- Disconnect the harness connector - 2 - for the brake system vacuum pump.

- Remove the remaining harness connectors and wires from the bracket - 3 -.

- Remove the bracket bolts - arrows - and bracket - 3 - with the brake system vacuum pump.

- Then remove the brake system vacuum pump bolts - arrows - and pump - 1 - from the bracket - 2 -.





Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
