Driver Side Left Trim

Removal

• For reasons of clarity, the steering wheel is not depicted in the illustration, it is not necessary to remove it.

- Switch off ignition.

- Remove side instrument panel cover on front passenger side. Refer to => [ Instrument Panel Side Covers ] Instrument Panel Side Covers

- Press rotary light switch toward front, rotate it toward right until it stands vertically, now pull it out and disconnect wiring harness.

- Remove the steering column trim gap cover from the instrument panel. Refer to => [ Steering Column Trim ] Steering Column Trim. It is not necessary to remove the complete steering column trim.

Rabbit from MY 2009

- Remove the instrument cluster. It is not necessary to disconnect the wiring harness.

All vehicles

- Remove storage compartment - 1 - from mounts.

- Remove the two bolts - 2 - (1.5 Nm).

- Remove the two bolts - 3 - (1.5 Nm).

- Remove bolt - 4 - (1.5 Nm).

- Disengage trim panel from instrument panel and disconnect wiring harness from headlamp range control.





Installation

- To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.

• When installing, bolts must be installed in the sequence - 2 -, - 3 - and - 4 - (1.5 Nm).
