Unable to adapt replacement main or valet key.

Technical Background

A change in the way key codes are managed was made beginning MY 2008. This change caused new key part numbers to be generated. A deficiency in existing instrument cluster software will not recognize the new key(s), therefore existing "new" old part number key(s) must be adapted in place of new key(s).

NOTE:
The keys do not need to be replaced if the instrument cluster is replaced. The updated replacement instrument cluster (index J/H) is able to adapt old and new part number keys.
