Comfort System, Power Windows, OBD Output Diagnostic Test Mode, Function 03

The components displayed in the Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) can differ depending upon the equipment installed on the vehicle. For example on vehicles without ATA there will be no step "1" as listed in the table below.

The Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) activates the following components in the stated sequence:

Comfort System (vehicles with power windows) 2nd generation







Comfort System (vehicles with power windows) 3rd generation







Work Sequence
- Connecting VAG1551 or VAS5051 - Scan Tool, Connecting and initiating On Board Diagnosis (OBD) - Comfort System OBD, with Power Windows, Initiating.

Indicated on display:

Rapid data transfer HELP
Select function XX

- Operate VAG1551 or VAS5051 taking into account the information on the display:
- Input 03 for "Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM)" function.
- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key from ignition lock.

03-Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM)

- Confirm entry with Q button.

Perform individual tests: See table on - Comfort System, Power Windows, OBD Output Diagnostic Test Mode, Function 03.

The Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) can be aborted by pressing the C button.

- Press arrowright button.

If a component does not function:

- Continue Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) to the end.
