Comfort System, Power Windows DTC Memory, Erasing, Function 05

NOTE: The vehicle system tester VAG1552 can be used instead of the scan tool VAG1551 or the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS5051, however a print-out is not possible.

- Connecting VAG1551 or VAS5051 - Scan Tool, Connecting and initiating On Board Diagnosis (OBD) - Comfort System OBD, with Power Windows, Initiating.

Requirements:
- Malfunction is corrected
- Functional check has been carried out
- DTC memory interrogated again

Indicated on display:

Rapid data transfer HELP
Select function XX

- Press buttons 0 and 5 (the function "Erase DTC memory" is entered with 05).

Indicated on display:

05 Erase DTC memory

- Confirm entry with Q button.

Indicated on display:

Rapid data transfer arrowright
Fault memory is erased.

- Press arrowright button.

Indicated on display:

Rapid data transfer HELP
Select function XX

NOTE: If this appears in the display, the test sequence has malfunctioned.

WARNING: Fault memory was not interrogated

- Adhere exactly to test sequence: first of all Interrogate DTC memory, then erase memory.

- Press buttons 0 and 6 to end the output.
