Ignition Lock Solenoid: Service and Repair



Ignition Key Removal Lock Solenoid, Removing And Installing

Ignition Key Removal Lock Solenoid N334 is installed in the immediate vicinity of ignition/starter switch.

NOTE: To remove ignition key in vehicles with automatic transmission, always shift selector lever into position "P" and then switch off ignition. Otherwise, Ignition Key Removal Lock Solenoid N334 prevents ignition key from being removed

Removing
- Remove Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module J527.







- Release locking device - 2 - using a suitable screwdriver.
- Pull Ignition Key Removal Lock Solenoid N334 - 1 - in direction of arrow out of its mount.
- During this, electrical connection is simultaneously disconnected.

Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

NOTE: After connecting the Battery A, perform output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) to activate the Ignition Key Removal Lock Solenoid N334.
