Towing Module: Service and Repair

Towing Recognition Control Module (J345), through MY 09

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)


• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Removal

- Remove the left luggage compartment side trim panel.

- Disconnect the connectors - 2 -.






• The number of connectors on towing recognition control module may differ from the illustration depending on vehicle equipment.

- Remove the screws - 1 - and towing recognition control module with the bracket from the vehicle.

- Remove the screws - arrows - and the towing recognition control module.






Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten the threaded connections to the tightening specification. Refer to => [ Towing Recognition Control Module, Tightening Specifications ] [1][2]Specifications.

After installing a new towing recognition control module, it must be coded. Refer to=> [ Through MY 09, Coding ] Through MY 09, Coding.
