1 - ABS Control Module -J104-
• Located on the hydraulic unit in the right side of the engine compartment

2 - ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55-
• Located in engine compartment, on right side.
The hydraulic unit consists of the following components:
• ABS Hydraulic Pump -V64-

• Brake Pressure Sensor 1 -G201-

• Valve block (contains the inlet/outlet valves).


3 - Brake Pad Wear Indicator Lamp -K32-
• Located in the instrument cluster

4 - ABS Warning Lamp -K47-
• Located in the instrument cluster

5 - ASR/ESP Control Lamp -K155-
• Located in the instrument cluster
• Only on vehicles with ABS/Electronic Differential Lock (EDL)/ASR/ESP

6 - Brake System Warning Lamp -K118-
• Located in the instrument cluster

7 - Brake Light Switch -F- through 12.09.05 => [ Brake Light Switch through 12.09.05 ] Brake Light and Park Brake Light Switch
• Includes the Brake Pedal Switch -F47-
• Located on the brake pedal

8 - Brake Light Switch -F- from 12.11.05 => [ Brake Light Switch from 12.11.05 ] Brake Light and Park Brake Light Switch
• Includes the Brake Pedal Switch -F47-
• Located on the master cylinder

9 - ASR/ESP Button -E256-
• Only on vehicles with ABS/EDL/ASR/ESP
• Located in the center console

10 - ESP Sensor Unit -G419- => [ ESP Sensor Unit ] See Image Below.
The ESP sensor unit is integrated with the following:
• 0

• Transverse Acceleration Sensor -G200-

• Rotation Rate Sensor -G202-

• Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor -G251-

• Only on vehicles with ABS/EDL/ASR/ESP
• Located under the right front seat
• Combined in one housing

11 - Data Link Connection (DLC)
• Located under the cover in the driver footwell

12 - Steering Angle Sensor -G85- => [ Steering Angle Sensor ] Locations
• Located on the steering column between the steering wheel and steering column switch

13 - Right Front ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G45- or Left Front ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G47- => [ Front Wheel Speed Sensors ] Wheel Speed Sensors and Pad Sensors

14 - Wheel bearing housing

15 - Wheel bearing/hub unit
• The ABS sensor ring is installed in the wheel bearing

16 - Right Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G44- or Left Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G46- => [ Rear Wheel Speed Sensors ] Wheel Speed Sensors and Pad Sensors

17 - Wheel bearing housing
