Roof Insulation/Reinforcements

Removal

- Remove headliner. Refer to => [ Molded Headliner ] Molded Headliner.

- Cut the roof insulation/reinforcements - 1 - into strips approximately 6 cm wide - 2 - with a carpet knife, moving in the direction of travel.

- Remove the strips - 2 - from the roof.

- Cut back the adhesive residue - 3 - with an (V.A.G 1561 A) and (V.A.G 1561/20) - 4 -.

• If paint structure was damaged while removing roof insulation/reinforcements, paint damage must be repaired.





Installation

• Processing instructions of adhesive must be observed when installing roof insulation/reinforcements.

- Using a (V.A.G 1628), apply the (D 190 MKD A3) - 2 - to the roof insulation/reinforcements - 1 -.

- Dimension - a - = 61 mm

- Dimension - b - = 25 mm

- Dimension - c - = 34.5 mm

- Dimension - d - = 19 mm

- Dimension - e - = 1.5 mm

- Transport roof insulation/reinforcements into vehicle through rear lid and press on to roof over the entire surface.
