Charge Air Cooler






Charge Air Cooler

Removing

- Bring the lock carrier into the service position. Refer to

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.





- Remove the bolt - 2 - for the charge air pipe - 1 - bracket.





CAUTION!
The air conditioning refrigerant circuit must not be opened.

- Disconnect all the electrical connectors, which lead to the lock carrier and the components on the lock carrier.

- Remove and support the condenser, charge air cooler and radiator with fan shroud off the lock carrier and support them.

- Remove the charge air cooler bracket.

- With a second technician, remove the (T10093) from the longitudinal members and carefully remove the lock carrier - 1 -. While doing this, make sure that all the connections are disconnected.





- Remove the bolts - arrows - from the radiator mounts.





- Remove the radiator from the charge air cooler and support it.

To prevent damage to the condenser and also to the refrigerant lines/hoses, ensure that the pipes and hoses are not stretched, kinked or bent.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.





- Remove the condenser from the charge air cooler and support it.

- Separate the condenser and the radiator from each other and remove the charge air cooler.

Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order. When doing this note the following:

- With a second technician, install the lock carrier - 1 -. While doing this, install the (T10093) into the longitudinal member.
