Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Fuel injector Individual Parts
1. Radial compensation (replace)
2. Combustion compartment seal (Teflon seal), replace. When installing, the seal must not be greased or handled with any other lubricants.
3. Groove on fuel injector
4. Support washer (replace)
5. O-ring (replace, lightly lubricate with clean engine oil when installing)
6. Support ring
Removing
- Remove the intake manifold. Refer to => [ Intake Manifold ] Intake Manifold.
- Seal the intake ports with clean cloths.
- Bend the retaining tabs of the radial compensation to the side using a screwdriver and pull off the support ring from the fuel injector.
• Radial compensation retaining tabs are destroyed by this (retaining tabs break). Radial compensation should be replaced before reinstalling fuel injector.
- Install the (T10133/3) (- 1) -) to the (T10133/2) (- 2 -). Then guide the (T10133/2) into the groove on the fuel injector and carefully tap the fuel injector out.
Installing
• The Teflon seal of the fuel injector may not be oiled or greased.
• Possibly an opened intake valve hinders the cleaning. In this case, the engine must be turned further by hand using a wrench on the crankshaft.
- Thoroughly clean the bores for the high pressure fuel injectors in the cylinder head using the (T10133/4).
- Replace the O-ring and Teflon seal of fuel injector. Refer to => [ Fuel Injector Teflon Seal ] Fuel Injector Teflon Seal.
- Using the (T10133/9) - 1 -, press the fuel injector into the hole in the cylinder head until seated.
- Make sure the fuel injectors are positioned correctly in the cylinder head.
- Install the intake manifold. Refer to => [ Intake Manifold ] Intake Manifold.
