Thermostat Housing: Service and Repair






Coolant Thermostat Housing with Coolant Thermostat

Removing

- Remove the generator.

- Disconnect the coolant pipes. Refer to => [ Coolant Pipes ] Service and Repair.

- Disconnect the coolant hose - 2 - from the coolant thermostat housing. Pull out the retaining clamp - 1 - to do so.





- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the coolant thermostat housing with coolant thermostat from the engine.





Installing

- Clean the sealing surface for the O-ring.

- Replace the O-ring and lubricate it with coolant.

- Position the coolant thermostat housing to the engine block and tighten the bolts evenly.

Tightening specification: 15 Nm.

- The rest of the assembly is basically a reverse of the removal sequence.
