Rear Engine Plate: Service and Repair

Sealing Flange, Drive Plate/Flywheel Side

Removing
- Remove transmission.
- Remove drive plate/flywheel.
- Remove oil pan.





- Remove sealing flange bolts - arrows -.

Installing

Note:
^ Do not additionally oil or grease sealing lip of oil seal!

- Clean sealing surfaces. They must be free of oil and grease.
- Before installing, remove oil remains from end of crankshaft with a clean cloth.
- To install, use the support sleeve provided. Supporting sleeve may only be removed after the sealing flange has been slid onto the crankshaft pin. Sealing flange sits on alignment pins.





- Tighten bolts - arrows - to 15 Nm.
- Install oil pan.

The rest of the assembly is basically a reverse of the disassembling sequence.
