Sealing Flange, Flywheel Side

Removing

- Remove the transmission.

- Remove the flywheel.

- Remove the oil pan. Refer to => [ Oil Pan ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the sealing flange bolts - arrows -.






Installing

• Do not additionally lubricate or grease the sealing lip of the seal!

- Clean the sealing surfaces. They must be free of oil and grease.

- Before installing, remove any remaining oil from the end of the crankshaft with a clean cloth.

- To install, use the support sleeve provided. The support sleeve may only be removed after the sealing flange has been slid onto the crankshaft pin. The sealing flange sits on the alignment pins.

- Tighten the bolts - arrows - to 15 Nm.






- Install the oil pan. Refer to => [ Oil Pan ] Service and Repair.

Further installation is in the reverse order of removal.
