Technical Background

Production changed with MY 2008.

Service

Tip:

If a replacement windshield is installed due to manufacturer defect, outside influence (stone chip) or collision repair, and the sensor IS NOT the cause of complaint, the rain sensor can be claimed as warranty repair.

Note:
Replacement of the rain sensor during windshield replacement is a ONE TIME customer courtesy.

Example:

The windshield has to be replaced due to stone chip damage. During windshield replacement process the original rain sensor needs to be adapted to new windshield. Removing the rain sensor from the original windshield causes the sensor to become inoperative or physically damaged.

Note:
In addition to claim comment per warranty table, enter production date of sensor in SAGA 2 comments box.

Example:

Date on rain sensor 03-04-2007 (white arrow).
