Checking bypass thermostat:
- Remove operating element.
- Warm operating element in a coolant bath.

Starts to open: approximately 75°C
Opening end: approximately 85°C
Opens: approximately 5 mm

Bypass thermostat location:

Bypass thermostat for coolant circuit transmission oil:
- Arrow on bottom part of thermostat points to heater unit heat exchanger.

Bypass thermostat for coolant circuit turbocharger:
- Arrow on bottom part of housing points to Coolant Pump V50.
