Coolant Thermostat Housing with Thermostat

• Check the coolant thermostat, refer to "Function and component selection" in the vehicle diagnostic tester.

Removing

- Remove the generator.

- Disconnect the coolant pipes. Refer to => [ Coolant Pipes ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the clamp - 1 - and then remove the coolant hose - 2 - from the coolant thermostat housing.





- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the coolant thermostat housing from the engine.





Installing

- Clean the sealing surface for the O-ring.

- Replace the O-ring and lubricate it with coolant.

- Attach the coolant thermostat housing to the cylinder block and tighten the bolts evenly to 15 Nm.

- The rest of the installation is basically a reverse of the removal sequence.
