Removing
- Remove toothed belt guard upper part.

- Turn the crankshaft to bring the camshaft to TDC for cylinder 1. The marking on the camshaft gear must match up with the arrow on toothed belt guard.
- Loosen the tensioning roller and remove toothed belt from camshaft gear.
- Slightly turn crankshaft back.

- Remove the camshaft gear. To loosen the bolt, hold camshaft gear secure with Counter Support -3415-.
- Remove woodruff key from camshaft.
- Insert the camshaft gear mounting bolt all the way into camshaft.
- Turn the inner part of the Seal Remover -2085- two turns (approx. 3 mm) from the outer part and secure it with a knurled-head screw.

- Lubricate the threaded head of the seal remover, mount it, and using force, install the sealing ring as far in as possible.
- Loosen the knurled-head screw and turn inner part against camshaft until sealing ring is pulled out.
- Clamp the seal remover to the flat surface in the vise. Remove sealing ring using pliers.

Installing

Requirements
- Pistons may not be in the upper TDC positions.

Note:
Instead of a hose spring sealing ring -1-, install a PTFE sealing ring (Teflon) -2-. This one has a wider sealing lip. PTFE sealing rings are installed without oil or grease. An old style radial shaft seal (with a ring spring) maybe replaced by a PTFE sealing ring, however not the other way around. If a PTFE sealing ring was used, then can only be used as a replacement part.

Note: Do not additionally oil or lubricate the sealing lip of the sealing ring.

Mount the sealing ring with the Guide Sleeve -T10071- and using the Pressure Sleeve -T10071/1- press it and the bolt -T10071/2- all the way in.

Note: Lightly oil or grease the oil seal sealing lip.

Mount the sealing ring with the Guide Sleeve -10 203- and using the pressure sleeve press it and the bolt -10 203- all the way in.

Continuation for all sealing rings

- Install woodruff key in camshaft.

- Install camshaft gear. To tighten the bolt, hold the camshaft gear secure using the Counter Support -3415-.
- Tightening torque: 100 Nm

Note: If the camshaft is turned the crankshaft may not be in TDC. Danger of damaging to valves/piston head.

Perform remaining installation operations in reverse order of removal.
