Clearing Trouble Codes - 09A, 5 SPD. A/T

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory, erasing, 09A, 5 Spd. A/T

Requirement:
^ DTC memory checked.
^ Vehicle stationary.
^ Engine speed not above 960 rpm.

After DTC memory has been checked:





Indicated on display
- Press keys 0 and 5 to select function Erase DTC memory.





Indicated on display
- Confirm entry with key Q.

Note:
^ If the ignition was switched off e.g. between checking the DTC memory and erasing the DTC memory, the DTC memory is then not erased.
6 Adhere strictly to the sequence of operations, i.e. first of all check the DTC memory.

If one or more DTCs are present.
- Check DTC memory.





Indicated on display

The DTC memory will be erased approximately 5 seconds after the display appears.

The DTC memory is now erased.

Note: Wait about 1 minute before again checking the DTC memory.

Print out with printer switched on
Transmission control module (TCM) -J217- was not given sufficient time to recognize DTCs.
- Wait about 1 minute before again checking DTC memory.
- After checking and erasing DTC memory, test drive vehicle and again check DTC memory.

When the DTC memory is checked, the following display should appear: "No DTC recognized!"
