Windshield Washer Jets, Checking And Adjusting

NOTE: In the event the washer jet spray pattern becomes uneven due to contamination, remove washer jet and flush with water opposite to washer jet spray direction. After flushing with water, it is permissible to blow through washer jet with compressed air.

CAUTION: Washer jets must not be cleaned using means involving physical contact, e.g.: wire, pins, abrasives etc.

Non-adjustable washer jets
Washer jet spray height and lateral position are preset in production and are not adjustable.







If spray height of both jets is not equal:
- Replace non-adjustable jet with lowest spray height with adjustable type washer jet.

Adjustable washer jets
Washer jet spray height and lateral position are preset in production. However, small height adjustments are possible.

If spray height of both jets is not equal, adjust as follows:

NOTE: One of two different types of adjustable washer jets may be installed. Use the appropriate procedure described below.


Jets with eccentric adjustment







Turn eccentric screw on jet in direction of -arrow- to raise spray pattern. Turn in opposite direction to lower pattern.

Jets with lever adjustment







Raise or lower adjustment lever -1 - at jet by hand (or with small screwdriver) accordingly.
