General information
At time of publication, headlight washer system is standard on Passat W8 models only.

The headlight washers are activated automatically when the windshield washer switch is operated and held for at least 1.5 seconds (headlights must be turned on - low or high beam).

After any disassembly/reassembly operations are performed to the headlight washer system, the system must be bled and operation confirmed => page 92-57.

On Board Diagnostic (OBD), notes
Models equipped with Vehicle Electrical System Control Module -J519- have On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capabilities which aid in troubleshooting the headlight washer system.

On models equipped with -J519-, perform OBD program using VAS 5051/5052 in operating mode "Guided Fault Finding".
