Window Regulator Motor Or Assembly Carrier With Window Regulator, Removing And Installing

Removing

NOTE: Illustration shows removal and installation of window regulator motor/assembly carrier with window regulator on rear doors. procedure for removing and installing on front doors is same.

Removing front or rear assembly carrier.

- Slide a hammer handle between window channel and SF so far until hammer handle end presses on gears of SF.







- Remove bolts - 1 - and remove window regulator.

Installing window regulator motor
- By removing window regulator motor, gearing shifts, it is not centered.







- When installing window regulator motor, gears must be aligned until window regulator motor is centered again.
- Attach and tighten bolts - 1 -, tightening torque: 3.5 Nm.







tightening torque must always be observed since otherwise damage to plastic sleeve on window regulator motor can result.

Installing assembly carrier with window regulator
For replacement part assembly carriers, gearing is secured against slipping and falling by a cable tie - 1 -.

- Slide a hammer handle between window channel and SF so far until hammer handle end presses on gears of SF.







- Remove cable tie - 1 -.







- By removing window regulator motor, gearing shifts, it is not centered.
- When installing window regulator motor, gears must be aligned until window regulator motor is centered again.
- Attach and tighten bolts - 1 -, tightening torque: 3.5 Nm.







Tightening torque must always be observed since otherwise damage to plastic sleeve on window regulator motor can result.
