Selector Mechanism Cover, Removing and Installing

Selector mechanism cover, removing and installing, 01V, 5 SPD. A/T (AWD)

Removing

^ Remove selector lever handle.
^ Pull up pull-rod and place selector lever in "P" with pull rod pulled up.
^ Switch ignition off.
^ Remove center console.





^ Carefully pry off retaining straps - arrows A - (4 pieces) upward.

The four retaining straps - arrows B - visible from top for circuit board must not be pried off. Otherwise circuit board will be damaged.

If retaining straps - arrows A or B - are damaged, cover must be replaced completely.

^ Lift off the entire selector mechanism cover upward.





^ Press release mechanism - arrow A - on connector - 1 - and pull it off from cover - 2 - in direction of arrow - B -.

Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Pay attention to the following:





^ Insert connector - 1 - into cover - 2 - opposite direction of arrow - B - before they are clipped into the selector mechanism.





^ Carefully place cover on selector mechanism and lock with retaining straps - arrows A - (4 pieces).

If retaining straps - arrows A or B - are damaged, cover must be replaced completely.

^ Install center console.
^ Install selector lever handle.
