Tower "I", Assembling

Tower "I", assembling, 01V, 5 SPD. A/T





^ Place planetary gear - 1 - in mounting device T10282.
^ Apply washer - 2 -, axial needle bearing - 3 - and angle washer - 4 -.
^ Angled edge of angle washer faces planetary gear.
^ Attach clutch "F" - 5 - onto plate carrier of planetary gear - 1 -, using short lifting/turning motions.
^ All Clutch plate "F" must engage in sequence in plate carrier of planetary drive.
^ Check whether all plates are engaged, lift cylinder "F" a few millimeters and let fall to do so.
^ If this produces a metallic sound, all plates are engaged.
^ If only a muted sound is heard, not all plates are engaged.





^ Place clutch "D/G" - 2 - onto plate carrier on clutch "F" - 1 -, using short lifting/turning motions.
^ All Clutch plate "G" must engage in sequence in plate carrier of clutch "F".
^ Check whether all plates are engaged, lift cylinder "D/G" a few millimeters and let fall to do so.
^ If this produces a metallic sound, all plates are engaged.
^ If only a muted sound is heard, not all plates are engaged.





^ Install lifting device T10287 as follows:
^ Turn back knurled nut of lifting device.
^ Insert lifting device into tower "I" until stop. ^ Tighten knurled nut of lifting device in clockwise direction.
^ Check lifting device in tower "I" for proper seating.
