When replacing a transmission, prior to installation, clean the ATF lines and cooler using the following procedure:
ATF lines and ATF cooler, cleaning
- Clean oil cooler and ATF lines with compressed air max.10 bar (145 psi), before installing transmission.
WARNING:
Always wear protective eye wear.
- Connect a hose to ATF line -A- and secure with hose clamp.Hang other end of hose in suitable container.
- Blow through ATF line -B- several times with a compressed air gun.
- Change hose from ATF line -A- over to ATF line -B- and repeat sequence.
NOTE:
If cooler cannot be cleaned, the radiator should be replaced.
- Continue with transmission installation.
