Wheel bearing housing (aluminum) and control arm, vehicles with all wheel drive, servicing
Note: If a vehicle that has a axle shaft removed is to be moved, an outer CV joint must be installed in place of the axle shaft and be tightened to 50 Nm. Otherwise, the wheel beating will be damaged.
1. Brake caliper
2. Bonded rubber bushing
3. Wheel bearing housing
Aluminum
4. Multi-point socket head bolt
^ 4 bolts
^ 80 Nm plus an additional 90° 1/4 turn
^ Replace each time
5. Washer
6. Self-locking hex nut, 95 Nm
^ Replace each time
Tighten nuts in unloaded condition!
7. Eccentric washer
8. Eccentric bolt
9. Brake disc
10. Hex socket head bolt
11. Wheel hub
12. Wheel bearing
13. Shield plate
14. Lower control arm
15. Front bonded rubber bushing for lower control arm
Pressing out is extremely difficult or in some cases impossible!
If bonded rubber mounting is faulty replace complete control arm.
16. Rear bonded rubber mounting for lower control arm
17. Hex head bolt, 55 Nm
Only tighten when vehicle is standing on wheels!
18. Axle shaft
19. Front bonded rubber mounting for upper control arm
20. Backing plate
21. Multi-point socket head bolt
22. Upper control arm
23. Rear bonded rubber bushing for upper control arm
24. Hex bolt
^ M12 x 1.5 x 95
^ 70 Nm plus an additional 90° 1/4 turn
^ Replace each time
Only tighten when vehicle is standing on wheels!
25. Washer
26. Self-locking nut
^ Replace each time
27. Connecting Link Installation location: Bend faces outward
28. Hex socket head bolt
