Rain Sensor-G213-, Removing And Installing

Removing

CAUTION:
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Remove interior rear-view mirror (with rain sensor)







- Unclip cable guide -arrows 1 - and remove.







- Separate rain sensor -1- from mirror mounting -2-.
- Remove interior light.
- Remove center sun visor.
- Separate electrical connection for rain sensor (under interior light) and pull harness out from under headliner towards windshield.

Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

NOTE:
- Rain sensors must always be replaced after removal. Do not reuse. Removal of sensor from mirror mounting damages mounting adhesive and subsequently affects proper function of sensor.
- Prior to installing sensor, thoroughly clean mounting surface (must be free from all residue and particles).







- Insert new rain sensor -1- into mirror mounting -2- and press firmly against windshield.
