Sensor, Transverse Acceleration -G200-, Removing and Installing


Sensor for transverse acceleration -G200-, removing and installing
On vehicles with a single Sensor for transverse acceleration -G200-, the control unit cannot be coded.





^ The sensor for transverse acceleration is located on the driver's side under the floor carpet behind the seat cross member.

Removing:
^ Remove front left seat.
^ Remove rear seat.
^ Pull off left sill panel trim.
^ Pull left-hand carpet back until the sensor for transverse acceleration can be removed.





^ Remove the two securing nuts (arrows).
^ Take out sensor for transverse acceleration with protective housing.

Installing:

CAUTION! Severe shakes/jolts can destroy the Sensor for transverse acceleration.

^ Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence

When installing, make sure sensor for transverse acceleration is correctly seated in its bracket and is free of stress.
Under no circumstances should the securing nuts be used to forcibly position the sender for rotation rate.
^ Tighten securing nuts to 5 Nm.
