Shift Interlock Solenoid: Service and Repair

Shift Lock Solenoid N110, removing and installing, 01V, 5 SPD. A/T (AWD)

Removing
^ Remove selector mechanism.





^ Remove stop buffer - 2 - from cable lever.
^ Shift selector lever - 1 - into Tiptronic position and then remove frame - 3 -.
^ Place selector lever in position "2".
^ Disengage lever for locking cable - 4 - by lifting it out of its bearing and remove from selector mechanism housing - 5 -.
^ Press out pin for locking latch - 6 - using a drift.
^ Remove shift lock solenoid - 7 - together with locking latch - 6 - upward.

Installing
^ Place selector lever in position "2".





^ Shift lock solenoid - 7 - must be slid together with locking latch into the selector mechanism housing - 5 - from the top.
^ Carefully drive in pin for locking latch - 6 -.
^ Lay locking cable lever - 4 - into selector mechanism housing - 5 - and engage it noticeably in both bearing areas.
^ Set frame - 3 - onto selector mechanism housing (ribbing points upward) and insert buffer stop - 2 - into cable lever.
^ Install selector mechanism.
