Section C - Fuel Line Foam Block Removal and Bracket Clipping

(2001-2005 1.8T vehicles)





- Remove air filter housing





- Remove and discard insulating foam -circle- located below air filter housing





- Close connector at rear wall
- Check to see if flare joint is now visible outside bracket
- If not visible outside bracket, carefully pull fuel line to the right to move flare joint outside of bracket

- Close bracket near air filter







- Reinstall air filter housing
- Reinstall plastic fuel line retainer -arrow-.







- Reinstall plastic cover over air filter housing







- Reinstall engine cover by turning three retainers 1/4 turn to secure
- Reconnect battery, if not a 4Motion vehicle
- Close hood
Work is complete, if not a 4Motion vehicle
