Components Of The Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) System, Overview







1. EVAP canister
- Component location: in wheelhousing, right front
- Fastened to the body
- For removal, remove front right wheelhousing liner
2. 10 Nm
3. Air filter housing
4. Retaining ring
- For Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve N80
5. Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve N80
- Valve is activated (pulsed) by the engine control module when the engine is warm
- Installed location: Arrow points in direction of flow
6. Connector
- Black, 2-pin
- For Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve N80
7. Non-return valve
- Gray side to EVAP canister system
- Installed location: Arrow points in direction of flow
8. To intake tube
- Between turbocharger and air filter
9. Throttle Valve Control Module J338
10. Pressure retention valve
- Closes the tank ventilation when the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve N80 is opened and intake manifold vacuum is present
11. O-ring
- Replace if damaged
12. Vent line
- Black
- Ensure seated tightly
- From gravity valve at fuel tank
13. Bolt
14. Vent hose
- In the open
- Fastened to the body
