Section E - Fuel Tank Inspection

(2001-2005 4Motion vehicles)





- Remove rear seat bottom by pulling up on seat bottom





- Remove cover from fuel sending unit on driver side





- Using measuring tape centered over electrical connector -dotted circle-, measure distance between vent line and fuel sender retainer ring -arrow-, it should be at least 36mm
- If the measurement is 36mm or greater, reinstall cover for fuel sending unit and rear seat bottom

Work is complete for Section E

- If the measurement is less than 36mm, proceed to Section F to perform visual inspection/vent line measurement check of surrounding surfaces for signs of fuel leak
