Includes: Longitudinal member, reinforcement and stiffening plate for wheel housing, replacing.

Front Wheelhousing, Replacement

Removing
- Cut out reinforcement for wheelhousing
- Cut out the W8 wheel housing reinforcement
- Cut out longitudinal member

Separating areas







- Separate original joint - a - and - b -.
- Remove residual material.

Replacement parts







- Wheel housing
- Reinforcement
- Longitudinal member
- Impact damper mounting

Preparing new parts
- Transfer separating cuts to new parts and cut off hatched area.
- Drill holes for SG plug weld seam, 7 mm.

Welding







- Install new part using straightening bracket.
- Butt weld the separating cuts, Gas-shielded arc continuous weld seam.







- Spot weld remainder of joint, Straight-line spot weld seam.
- Weld in replacement part, SG continuous seam.
- Spot weld remainder of joint, Straight-line spot weld seam.
- Weld in wheel housing reinforcement
- Weld in longitudinal member
