Trunk Lid Lock, Assembly Overview --> 09.00







1 - Lock cylinder carrier
- Lock cylinder can only be removed in conjunction with carrier.

2 - Nut
- Qty 2
- 7 Nm

3 - Handle trim
- Lock cylinder carrier, removing.
- Remove nuts - 2 - and remove handle trim from lid.

4 - Handle
5 - Push button
6 - Pop rivet
- Pull in using Pop rivet tongs V.A.G 1765 A

7 - Base for license plate
- Press on only on hatched area
- Replacement part has two foils. first foil covers adhesive surface, second must be removed after installing

8 - Lock
- Removing.
- Remove lid trim.
- Disconnect harness connector from lock.
- Unclip operating rod - 12 -, remove nuts - 2 - and remove lock from lid.

- Installing:
- Installation is reverse of removal.

9 - Actuator lever
10 - Nut
- Qty 2
- 7 Nm

11 - Central locking actuator
- Lock cylinder carrier, removing.
- Unbolt positioning motor and remove.

12 - Operating rod
- Press actuator lever - 14 - against stop and engage operating rod free of tension.
