Amplifier, removing and installing
Sedan, removing
The "Monsoon" system amplifier is located under the rear shelf, to the right rear. The amplifier is secured to a bracket on the rear shelf.
To remove the amplifier, perform the following steps:
CAUTION: Before beginning repairs on the electrical system:
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.
- Open luggage compartment.
- Disconnect electrical connections at amplifier.
- Remove amplifier screws -2- from within luggage compartment.
- Remove amplifier from bracket.
If bracket -b- is to be removed, perform the following steps:
- Remove rear shelf cover.
- Remove nuts from threaded studs -1-. Have a helper counter-hold bracket -b- from the luggage compartment.
Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.
NOTE: After amplifier replacement, confirm radio sound system coding using applicable On Board Diagnostic program. Radio systems "Premium IV and V". Radio system Premium VI" use VAS 5051 Vehicle Diagnostic Testing and Information System or VAS 5052 Vehicle Testing and Service System in mode "Guided Fault Finding".
Wagon, removing
The amplifier is located in the left rear luggage compartment. The amplifier is secured to a bracket above or below the CD Changer.
CAUTION: Before beginning repairs on the electrical system:
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.
- Open flap in left side luggage compartment trim panel.
- Disconnect electrical connections at amplifier.
- Remove screws -arrows-.
- Remove amplifier from bracket.
Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.
NOTE: After amplifier replacement, confirm radio sound system coding using applicable On Board Diagnostic program. Radio systems "Premium IV and V". Radio system Premium VI" use VAS 5051 Vehicle Diagnostic Testing and Information System or VAS 5052 Vehicle Testing and Service System in mode "Guided Fault Finding".
