Selector Mechanism Frame, Disassembling and Assembling

Selector mechanism frame, disassembling and assembling, 09G, 6 Spd. A/T





1. Frame - upper part
2. Cover strip
^ With 2 magnets - arrows - for Tiptronic switch -F189- and selector lever display
^ Ensure that magnets are securely connected to cover strip.

3. Frame - lower part
^ Guides cover strip
^ Selector mechanism and printed circuit board cover, removing and installing

Disassembling
- Remove cover.





- Carefully pry up retaining lugs - arrows -.

Note: Replace the frame if the retaining lugs are damaged.





- Take off frame upper part - 1 -.
- Take cover strips - 2 - out of frame lower part - 3 -.

Assembling
- Check that magnets - arrows - are on cover strips - 2 -.

Note: If magnets are not on cover strips, replace cover strips.





- Place cover strips - 2 - into frame lower part - 3 -.
- Position frame upper part - 1 - onto frame lower part.
- Lock upper and lower parts of frame carefully into one another - arrows -.

Note: Replace the frame if the retaining lugs are damaged.

- Install cover.
