Shift Interlock Solenoid: Service and Repair
Shift lock solenoid -N110-, removing and installing, 09G, 6 Spd. A/T
Removing
- Check whether a coded radio is installed. If so, obtain anti-theft coding.
- Move selector lever to position "R".
- With ignition switched off disconnect battery Ground strap.
- Remove selector mechanism and printed circuit board cover Selector mechanism and printed circuit board cover, removing and installing.
- Disconnect connector - arrow - from Shift lock solenoid -N110-.
- Move pull rod upward and shift selector lever to position "P" with pull rod still held up.
- Raise vehicle.
- Loosen double clamp - A - and slide to rear.
- Remove tunnel bridge - B - located beneath exhaust system.
- Remove heat shields - C - and - D -.
- First remove 4 nuts - arrows A -.
- Remove 2 bolts - arrows B -.
- Carefully slide cover with protective covering forwards over selector lever cable.
Note: Do not damage protective covering when doing this.
- Unclip Shift lock solenoid -N110- out of retainer - arrows A -.
- Pull Shift lock solenoid -N110- out of pawl - arrow B -.
- Take Shift lock solenoid -N110- out downward.
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse sequence of removal. In the process, note the following:
- Hook Shift lock solenoid -N110- into pawl - arrow B -.
- Clip Shift lock solenoid -N110- into retainer - arrows A -.
- Bolt cover with bonded seal onto selector lever housing. Ensure seal is positioned correctly.
- First tighten nuts - arrows A -.
- Then tighten 2 bolts - arrows B -.
- Assemble exhaust system and install tunnel bridge
- Install selector mechanism and printed circuit board cover Selector mechanism and printed circuit board cover, removing and installing.
- Install center console Body Interior
- Install selector lever handle.
- Connect battery Ground strap.
- Check selector mechanism Selector mechanism, checking.
- Enter radio code
- Initialize power windows, set correct time on clock
